The opportunity

This is an Occupational Therapist fixed term, part-time 0.4 FTE (4 days per fortnight) role from 25th November 2024 through to 29th August 2025. You’ll be a valued member of our growing restorative care team, working closely with an experienced multi-disciplinary team to provide tailored and individualised services to people within the community. A typical day will involve assessing functional care needs, setting clear care goals, and providing treatment and intervention.

This is an exciting role where you’ll have the autonomy to structure your day and be provided with a broad and varied caseload. This will include client home visits and group activities across a range of settings (in-home rehabilitation or clinic-based). You will deliver person-centred care in an environment that promotes continuous quality improvement consistent with the values of HammondCare and the Australian Health Practitioners Regulatory Agency (AHPRA).

About you

  • A tertiary qualified Occupational Therapist with current AHPRA registration and practical experience, or sound knowledge in a Rehabilitation or Aged Care setting. This can include inpatient/outpatient, community settings, or both.
  • You’re a strong communicator, and able to plan and manage your time effectively.
  • Enjoy working independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Access to a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and safe driving record to travel between client’s homes and HammondCare locations (travel costs reimbursed).
