About the role
A rewarding opportunity for a passionate Dementia professional to join the Dementia Support Australia Team on a Fixed Term Full-Time Contract until June 2026 at one of our various offices in Perth, Yarraville, Malvern or Sydney!

Bring your knowledge of supporting older people living with Dementia to work as part of a team providing knowledge, skill and advice over the phone and via email on matters relating to excellent dementia care, both clinical and non-clinical.

Responsibilities

  • Provide dementia-specific behaviour management recommendations over the phone, via live chat and through phone support case management.
  • Provide advice to reduce the impact of behaviours on people living with dementia, their carers and staff.
  • Work closely with colleagues and teams to provide information and data which reports statistics and information collected regarding calls and live chat.
  • Implement service improvement solutions across the phone and live chat team consistently and efficiently. 
  • Flexibility to work across a variety of shifts throughout the week.

What do we need from you?

  • Expertise in supporting people living with dementia
  • Experience in Australian residential aged care and or community aged care
  • High level of negotiation, communication and relationship building skills
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills
  • Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Empathy and patience
  • Relevant qualifications in Allied Health, Nursing, Aged Care or Mental Health highly desirable
