We specialise in palliative care, aged and dementia care, mental health services for older people, rehabilitation and other related health and aged care services.  HammondCare seeks to embed evidence-based best practices in its services and we provide these services through home care, sub-acute hospitals and residential aged care.

About the role

Applications are invited from experienced and skilled Registered Nurses to join our dynamic team. As a registered nurse, you will be a part of a highly dedicated team that provides the best patient-centred care for our Older Persons Mental Health (OPMH) clients.

This Permanent part-time, 4 days per week opportunity will be in our OPMH Community Team located at Braeside Hospital. We offer applicants a stimulating workplace and a supportive team environment within the team. Our staff are valued members of the multi-disciplinary team and are encouraged to participate in all learning and development activities.

About you

• At least 3 years experience in nursing with a minimum of 1 year in OPMH in an inpatient or community setting
• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Commitment to ongoing professional development
• Computer literacy with email and an electronic patient record system
• Evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking, and analysis in their daily practice as a registered nurse
• Time management skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads within a complex environment
